Osias Beert (Still Life)




Osias Beert
(Antwerp, ca. 1580 -. 1624) was a Flemish Baroque painter who specialized in flower paintings and still lifes, such as "breakfast". He was a member of the Guild of St. Luke in 1608, he studied painting at the Frans van der Borch, French IJkens Paul Pontius and Jan Willemssen.
Beert was the leading Flemish painter who draws a still life.
Beert was born and lived in Antwerp, almost his entire life. In the Netherlands line, the artist still lives were very popular.
