I was born in North Africa from Italian parents in 1944 in Tripoli, Libya. Started very early to tinker with charcoal and colored pencils. That was my only game on the large solar farm owned by my parents. He studied painting at the Art Institute of Perugia and Rome, where I had the good fortune to live all the formative years of my boyhood and youth. Soon I began to work as an artist - restorer. And then I learned and deeply loved big painting. Everything else was "inevitable."
His works are happy, sensual, rich in color and vibrating light, reflect the great love of Renaissance painting. Currently the artist lives and works in Tuscany, Italy. Many works Bruno Di Maio found in private and public collections in Europe, Japan, Australia and the United States
