Arseny Ivanovich Meschersky
Author of numerous distinctive landscapes Meshchersky Arseny Ivanovich was born in Vyshnevolotsk County Tver province. Twenty years of youth enrolled in the Academy of Arts, where he studied for three years under the guidance of FA Bruni, SM Vorobiev, TA Neff. Something not like the young artist trained at the Academy - after three years of being in it and receive for their work first silver medal at his own expense, he went to Switzerland, where he became a pupil of the famous landscape painter Calama. Official recognition is also not long in coming. In 1864, AI Meschersky received the title of academician, and in 1876 - the title of professor of landscape painting.
